Question 2

Are mattress protectors a good idea?

Accepted Answer

Mattress protectors can make a significant difference in the lifespan of your mattress. A well-protected mattress will last much longer than a mattress exposed to dirt, sweat, and allergens. These factors can create moisture and mold, which will ruin your mattress.

Question 3

Why do you need a mattress protector?

Accepted Answer

You need a mattress protector because your mattress can easily get damaged without using one. A waterproof mattress protector will protect your mattress against sweat, stains, spills, dirt, and more - ensuring your mattress lasts for a long time.

Question 4

What type of mattress protector is best?

Accepted Answer

The best type of mattress protector will be hypoallergenic, waterproof, and stain-resistant. These components will create a strong barrier on top of your mattress, preventing sweat, stains, dust mites, and more from getting inside. The Puffy Signature Mattress Protector features BambooShield™ Protection, a breathable, cooling bamboo rayon blend which permits even airflow and breathability while providing waterproof protection. It is available in various sizes, including twin, twin XL, full, queen, king, and California king.

Question 5

Why use a waterproof mattress protector?

Accepted Answer

A waterproof mattress protector helps prevent spills, stains, and sweat from reaching your mattress. If your mattress is exposed to moisture, it can create mold inside, which can promote bed bugs and bacteria. This won't just ruin your mattress. It can lead to allergic reactions while sleeping, like sneezing or itching.

Question 6

Do I need a mattress pad and protector?

Accepted Answer

A mattress pad adds cushioning to your mattress but doesn't protect it. However, a mattress protector is specifically designed to keep your mattress fresh and clean. You can use both at the same time by placing a mattress pad on top of your mattress but under the protector.

Question 7

How often should you wash a mattress protector?

Accepted Answer

It is recommended to wash your mattress protector every 2 months to maintain the cleanliness of your mattress. If spillage or stains occur, you may need to wash it more often.

Question 8

What is the difference between a mattress protector and mattress topper?

Accepted Answer

A mattress protector is solely used to extend the life of your mattress and protect it from damage, dust mites, sweat, and allergens. However, a mattress topper is used to adjust the firmness of your mattress. You can place a mattress topper above your mattress and under the protector.

Question 9

Is the Signature Mattress Protector safe and free from harmful substances?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Signature Mattress Protector is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, meaning the textiles have been tested and certified against up to 1,000 harmful substances. The protector is also made from hypoallergenic bamboo rayon that helps protect against common allergens like dust mites.

Question 10

Do mattress protectors make you sweat?

Accepted Answer

Unlike cheap plastic protectors, a high-quality mattress protector shouldn't make you sweat. If you're a hot sleeper, the Puffy Signature Mattress Protector is for you. It features BambooShield™ Protection, a cooling bamboo rayon blend that is incredibly soft and breathable - allowing for even air circulation through your mattress.

Question 11

How often should you change your mattress protector?

Accepted Answer

It is recommended to change your mattress protector when you notice obvious signs of wear like tears, stains, or anything that will compromise the function of the protector. In order to extend the lifespan of the mattress protector, be sure to wash it regularly with your bedding.

Question 12

What is the best waterproof mattress protector?

Accepted Answer

The best waterproof mattress protector is easily washable, dries quickly, and most importantly, doesn't make a disturbing crinkly sound as you move around on the mattress. The Puffy Signature Mattress Protector features BambooShield™ Protection with soft bamboo blend fabric that stays completely silent while providing waterproof protection.
