Question 2

What is a comforter?

Accepted Answer

A comforter is a two-layered cover with filling that can be used during summer or winter. Comforters provide more warmth and comfort than a blanket or duvet because of their soft filling.

Question 3

What is a comforter vs blanket?

Accepted Answer

A blanket is a one-layer material, while a comforter is two layers with a filling between them. The filling is usually synthetic fibres, cotton, or wool for extra warmth and softness. You can use a blanket under or on top of a comforter to maximize warmth, but a comforter can be used on its own.

Question 4

Is a comforter different than a duvet?

Accepted Answer

While a comforter is one piece with two layers and a filling enclosed, a duvet is two separate pieces - a cover and a filling. You can use a comforter as an insert for a duvet, which can come in handy when matching your room style.

Question 5

Are comforters machine washable?

Accepted Answer

Most comforters are machine washable and dryer safe. However, it's important to read the care instructions before washing your comforter. In most cases, it is recommended to wash comforters on a delicate cycle. The Puffy Deluxe Comforter is made of specialized materials that make it soft and durable while still being easy to take care of at home.

Question 6

How long does a comforter last?

Accepted Answer

Comforters have a generous lifespan of 15 to 25 years. It's important not to exhaust the comforter, air it regularly, and protect it with a duvet if you want it to last long. The Puffy Deluxe Comforter is a hypoallergenic comforter that helps protect against dust, dust mites, mold, and allergens.

Question 7

Is a comforter good for summer?

Accepted Answer

Comforters with natural and hypoallergenic down are great for use all year round, as they work as temperature regulators. But if the comforter is too heavy, it may make you sleep hot in the summer. The Puffy Deluxe Comforter is the perfect weight for every season and has a down alternative fibre filling that provides warmth during winter and helps reduce overheating during summer.

Question 8

What are the pros and cons of a comforter?

Accepted Answer

The major pros of a comforter are that it's an all-in-one solution, doesn't need a duvet or blanket, is hypoallergenic, and is great all year round. If you use a comforter on its own, it can be harder to change the style, and it needs cleaning more frequently. The Puffy Deluxe Comforter can be used as an insert of your favourite duvet cover and is easily washed at home. Using a duvet cover with your comforter is recommended to keep it clean for a longer time.

Question 9

Is a blanket or comforter better?

Accepted Answer

A blanket and a comforter can be used together or each on its own. A lightweight blanket can be suitable for warmer seasons, while a comforter offers more comfort, softness, and warmth during colder days. If the comforter is temperature-regulating like the Puffy Deluxe Comforter, it is ideal for year-round use.

Question 10

How do I choose the perfect comforter?

Accepted Answer

The perfect comforter should be made of high-quality materials, hypoallergenic, and can be used all year round. It's important to take your mattress dimensions and thickness to choose the right comforter for your bed. The Puffy Deluxe Comforter comes in twin/twin XL, full/queen, and king/California king sizes.

Question 11

Is the Deluxe Comforter safe and free from harmful substances?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Deluxe Comforter is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, meaning the textiles have been tested and certified against up to 1,000 harmful substances. The comforter is also made from hypoallergenic materials that are gentle on sensitive skin.

Question 12

How often should you replace your comforter?

Accepted Answer

Comforters usually last a very long time, ranging from 15 to 25 years. You should consider replacing your comforter if the filling goes flat, it starts to fray, or it no longer gives you comfort and warmth.
